Honda Hybrid Models
Hybrid cars are becoming more and more common. They sport the same great style and features as traditional gas-powered vehicles but usually offer better MPG ratings. To show drivers in Gulfport, Long Beach, and Biloxi what they can do for you, Pat Peck Honda looks at each one of the Honda hybrid models.
Benefits of Driving a Hybrid
With their excellent fuel economy, hybrid vehicles can help you make fewer stops for gas. They’re both convenient and produce fewer emissions. On top of being better for the environment, they can also help you save money. You’ll spend less on gas and depending on where you live, you can actually get tax incentives just for driving a hybrid.
The Honda Insight is a compact sedan that runs on a sporty hybrid powertrain. Under the hood, you’ll find a 1.5L 4-cylinder engine, a lithium-ion battery, and an AC synchronous permanent-magnet electric motor. Together, they can produce up to 151 total system horsepower and get up to an EPA-estimated 55 MPG city and 49 MPG highway with the Honda Insight LX and EX trims.1 As a result, it was named the 2019 Green Car of the Year® by Green Car Journal.2
Honda Accord Hybrid
The classic Honda Accord is now available as a hybrid. This beloved midsize sedan has the same dimensions and features as its gas counterpart but runs a combination of a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine and a two-motor hybrid system. With these features, the Accord Hybrid delivers an exciting 212 total system horsepower and can get up to a balanced EPA-estimated 48 MPG city and 48 MPG highway with the EX, EX-L, and Touring trims.1
Honda Clarity Plug-In
The Honda Clarity Plug-In is a different kind of hybrid. It uses a charging cable and a 6.6-kWh onboard charger to keep your vehicle running. The 17-kWh battery is easy to charge, both in your home or on the road at charging station. A fully charged battery can give you an all-electric driving range of up to 47 miles.3 This works with a 1.5L 4-cylinder engine. Together, they provide up to 212 total system horsepower and a total driving range of up to 340 miles.3
