2018 Honda Accord Trim Levels
The Honda Accord is a midsize car known for having great fuel economy and long list of features. Even if you’re sold on the Accord, you still need to decide which trim level is right for your drives around Gulfport, Long Beach, and Biloxi.
That’s why we created this guide on the 2018 Honda Accord trim levels. Learn all about them below and contact us at Pat Peck Honda if you have any questions.
Honda Accord LX
The 2018 Honda Accord LX comes with a 1.5L 4-cylinder engine that delivers 192 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), which helps the vehicle achieve an EPA-estimated 30 city/38 highway MPG.*
For interior comfort, the LX has a dual-zone automatic climate control system. This allows the driver and front-seat passenger to choose their preferred temperature, so that no one needs to stay too hot or too cold.
For entertainment, the Accord LX has Bluetooth® technology to stream audio or make hands-free phone calls. It also has Pandora® compatibility, for more music options. Plus, all your media options can be seen on a 7-inch screen and can be heard through a 4-speaker audio system.
Furthermore, the LX comes with Honda Sensing®. This suite of driver-assisting technologies was designed to help alert you to things you might miss while driving. One included feature is the Collision Mitigation Braking System™. It can help brake the car if it senses an imminent collision with a vehicle detected in front of you.
Honda Accord Sport
The 2018 Accord Sport is equipped with the same engine as above. However, it also has an available 2.0L 4-cylinder that puts out 252 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. The 1.5L engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, but can also be paired with the CVT with paddle shifters. Meanwhile, the 2.0L engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission with shift-by-wire and paddle shifters.
The Sport has various MPG ratings, depending on which engine/transmission the vehicle is equipped with. But when paired with the CVT, it can achieve an EPA-estimated 29 city/35 highway MPG.*
Additionally, the Sport comes with a 12-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with 4-way power lumbar support. This is so you can get in that perfect position behind the steering wheel.
The infotainment screen becomes an 8-inch high-resolution touchscreen, and the audio system upgrades to eight speakers. Plus, you get HD Radio™, SiriusXM® Satellite Radio, and Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ smartphone integration. Plug your compatible smartphone into the car’s USB port. You can then access your favorite apps on the vehicle’s touchscreen, like music, podcasts, and text messages.
Honda Accord EX
The Accord EX has the same engine, transmission, and EPA mileage ratings as the LX. Though in this trim, you get the remote engine start. As the name states, you’re able to start the engine with the key fob, before you get into the car. This trim also has heated front seats, to stay cozy on colder nights.
The EX has the same tech features as the Sport trim, including the SMS Text Message Function. This feature lets you listen to a received text message, then use the display screen to send a reply with a fixed phrase or call the person back.
The EX (like the Sport) also has HondaLink®. Use this app to lock or unlock the doors, turn the engine on, and more, all from your smartphone.
Honda Accord EX-L
The performance specs of the 2018 Accord EX-L are a blend of the Sport and EX trims. It has the same two engine options in the Sport trim. However, it’s paired with a CVT (like the EX) or a 10-speed automatic (like the Sport).
When equipped with the CVT, it has the same mileage ratings as the EX. When equipped with the 10-speed automatic, it achieves an EPA-estimated 23 city/34 highway MPG (the Sport is at 22 city/32 highway MPG).*
This trim has leather-trimmed seats, along with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. Plus, the 12-way power driver’s seat now has a two-position memory function. This allows you and one other person to set your seating positions, making it easier to trade off driving duties. Furthermore, the front passenger now has a 4-way power adjustment seat.
The tech features pretty much stay the same in the EX-L. However, you now get a 10-speaker premium audio system with subwoofer. This is so you can listen to music in concert-like quality.
Honda Accord Touring
The Accord Touring has pretty much the same performance specs as the Sport trim. The only difference is that the Touring doesn’t have a 6-speed manual transmission.
In this trim, you’ll get heated front and outboard rear seats. This way, everyone on board can stay nice and toasty on chillier mornings. In addition, you’ll get ventilated front seats, to cool down on hot summer days.
The Touring also gives you a Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System™ with Voice Recognition and Honda HD Digital Traffic. Use your voice to put in your destination. You’ll then get a map with 3D renderings and easy-to-follow turn-by-turn direction. Plus, this system provides lane guidance and live search functionality.
In addition, the Honda Accord Touring has a wireless phone charger, as well as mobile hotspot capability. With the former, you can leave your phone charger at home, and it’ll still always have a full battery. With the latter, you can enjoy wireless streaming, to stay connected to the internet no matter where you travel.
